A young man, retold by Lisa

I’m Lisa. I’m telling a story about a young man.

There was a young man walking in front, holding a sheep with a rope behind him. Someone joked to him: “the reason why this sheep follows you is because you tied it with a rope, not because you really like it, nor because it really follows you!”

As soon as the young man heard this, he immediately let go of the rope that tied the sheep, left the sheep and walked forward on his own, sometimes moving left and sometimes right. As for the sheep, although it was not tied with a rope, it followed the young man and ran left and right without any intention of leaving the young man.

The joker couldn’t help but ask strangely:

“Young man, why is this?”

“Because I provided it with food and water, plants, and took good care of it.” The young man stopped his performance and stood still.

The man began to think deeply.

The young man said again: “friend, I have a good word to say. It is not the string that ties the sheep but your care and love for the sheep.”
